Sometimes, it can be difficult to know what day of the week it is, let alone know all of the special days that we celebrate throughout the year. Want to make sure you don’t miss a thing? Use this helpful guide that I developed from the website DaysoftheYear.com.
The list below includes standard holidays, school-related events, and some plain fun days that could be great ones to celebrate at your school. Give yourself a reminder at the beginning of each month to check back to this list. Select a few that you want to highlight and then create posts, contests, videos, or other creative ways to let your community know about them!
One great example of something to celebrate is Brainteaser Month. During the month of January, you could post a daily brainteaser on Facebook and ask for your fans to respond. Their comments will increase your page’s engagement. Awesome! This helps you reach more people with all of your other school posts too!
You don’t need to come up with all of the content for these posts by yourself if that idea stresses you. Ask your students to submit their favorite riddles. It would be fun to post their first name and grade or age next to the question that they submitted.
