The number of people who have helped me grow my business, since 2014, would be a very lengthy list. Suffice it to say that if you’re reading this blog as one of my current/past team members, current/past clients, followers, friends, family…. Thank you.
Thank you for supporting #SocialSchool4EDU over the years, and encouraging me on my journey. Thanks to your support and loyalty, I was recently able to help out my alma mater, New Auburn School District (NASD).
My donation allowed NASD to update its Commons area with new furniture. The furniture creates a space for community and collaboration during the school day. It also provides a gathering space outside of the high school gymnasium during events.
I graduated from New Auburn High School in 1996, after completing grades K-12 in the district. My awesome mom, Bonnie Halberg, recently retired after working in the district for 37 years.
I am so thankful to be able to give back to the district that gave me my start – not only by launching me into the world with a first-class education but for providing the beginnings of my now-thriving business. Back in 2014, Superintendent Brian Henning asked me to start social media channels for NASD, as I was trying to kick off my social media management business. The trust he and the staff placed in me, nine years ago, was the impetus for #SocialSchool4EDU.
Today, we get to help schools around the world showcase all the great things happening with their students and staff! This donation is my way of giving back to where it all started.
Allow me to share a few kind comments from others in the district:
Dr. Lee Busch, the NASD Interim Superintendent, said that the school is very pleased to accept this donation of furniture. He said that he appreciates my activeness in the school district, especially since I have daughters who attend the high school!
Jim Reif, the NASD Assistant Superintendent and High School Principal, shared:
One of the best things about schools is that we try to make them flexible, safe, and welcoming to students. Andrea Gribble and her company have served us so well, not only in doing our social media, but also through the donation of this furniture. It gives the kids a college-like feel and a flexible learning space. We already have teachers talking about coming down and doing reading circles, poetry groups, and study groups. It’s a great way to “class up” New Auburn Schools!
My beautiful, driven daughter, Aliya North, is a senior at NASD. She said:
I’m so grateful for this donation from my mom’s company, #SocialSchool4EDU. It’s been fun to get a front-row seat to watch her business grow since starting in 2014. I was only in third grade back then and this year I’ll be graduating. This furniture will be a great area for kids to study and expand their learning for years to come.
Thank you again for being part of my journey! I can’t wait to see what the next nine years have in store.
